Donald H. Slavik
Donald H. Slavik graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin College of Engineering with a B.S. in nuclear engineering in 1978, and received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1981. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Society of Automotive Engineers, and the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine.
In addition, Mr. Slavik is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin. In addition to his numerous professional memberships, Mr. Slavik has written extensively in the area of products liability, including motor vehicle occupancy issues and crashworthiness, publishing in Trial magazine, Recovery, and also in publications from the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Press. He has taught at the University of Wisconsin in engineering extension classes, and has given numerous presentations to various state bar associations (Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Montana, North Dakota, and California).
He is a member of the ATLA exchange advisory committee, the ATLA computers and law office technology committee, the ATLA scientific and medical integrity committee and the executive committee of the board of directors of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group. He presently serves on the scientific program committee of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, and is a past member of the board of directors of the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Slavik practices in the Milwaukee office.
