Howard M. Acosta
Short Biography: Howard M. Acosta has been a civil trial lawyer for over twenty years. He is board certified by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. A former Navy carrier and P-3 pilot, he also holds commercial instrument flight ratings. Mr. Acosta has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts or judgments in aviation and medical malpractice cases. Prominent aviation cases include product defect claims involving the F-16 fighter, B-1 bomber, B-52 bomber, S-3 surveillance aircraft and numerous general aviation aircraft.
Mr. Acosta obtained his law degree from the Florida State University in 1978. He is a solo practitioner in St. Petersburg, Florida and his memberships include the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Florida and St. Petersburg Bar Associations.
