Juanita M. Madole
Short Biography: 

Juanita M. Madole, a partner with the firm of Speiser Krause, was admitted to practice in 1974 and has been active in aviation tort litigation for over twenty years. Before moving into the private practice of law, Ms. Madole was a trial attorney with the Aviation Litigation Unit, Civil Division, of the United States Department of Justice. She has focused primarily on plaintiffs’ issues in aviation accident litigation for the last two decades.

Ms. Madole has been a member of numerous plaintiffs’ steering committees in mass disaster, multi-district litigations. Ms. Madole has prepared numerous briefs in the United States Supreme Court, as well as for many of the United States Circuit Courts.

Ms. Madole is past chairman of the Aviation and Space Law Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section, American Bar Association. She is one of the five members of the advisory board to the prestigious SMU Journal of Air Law and Commerce. She is also on the editorial advisory board to the Aviation Litigation Reporter, and is an active member of the D.C. Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, California Bar Association, American Trial Lawyer’s Association, and Lawyer-Pilot’s Bar Association.

Ms. Madole is the coauthor of Recovery for Wrongful Death (3rd edition, Clark Boardman Callahan, 1992); Negligence Litigation Handbook: State and Federal (John Wiley and Sons, 1986); “Wrongful Death Damages,” Trial magazine, September, 1989; “Litigating the General Aviation Case,” Trial magazine, February, 1989; and is the editor of Litigating the Aviation Case and the Government Contractor Defense: A Fair Defense or the Contractors’ Shield.
