Todd Sheffer
Short Biography: Todd Sheffer, CFE, a certified fraud examiner since 1993, has been a senior fraud and diversion consultant with Washington, D.C.-based law firm deKieffer and Horgan since 1999. At deKieffer and Horgan, Mr. Sheffer directs an international investigative and consulting division that specializes in anti-diversion and anti-counterfeiting matters. He also manages and markets a trade compliance database that is available through the Internet. Prior to joining deKieffer and Horgan, Mr. Sheffer worked as director of the Fraud Prevention Department of the National Association of Credit Management (NACM) where he uncovered an unprecedented number of frauds that ranged from a $500 million dollar Ponzi scheme to numerous multi-million dollar “bust-out” scams. Mr. Sheffer has also worked closely with multiple law enforcement agencies and has been instrumental in the apprehension of numerous white-collar criminals.
