Thomas O. Depperschmidt
Short Biography: Thomas O. Depperschmidt, Ph.D. has been professor of economics at the University of Memphis since 1966. He holds a B.A. in economics and English from Fort Hays Kansas State University and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas, Austin. He was a founding member of the National Association of Forensic Economists, and served as its vice-president, South, and on its board of directors from 1987-90. His economic consultation (since 1970) has been in wrongful death, personal injury, antitrust, and business damage litigation with attorneys in over ten states. His research interests are in forensic economics, gray markets, labor economics, and the economics of bankruptcy, especially bankruptcy associated with gaming. He has published in ten different law reviews, several law journals, bankruptcy policy reviews, forensic economics and general economics journals.
