Reginald J. Montgomery
Short Biography: Reginald J. Montgomery, CLI, CPP, CFE, CP, CST, became a licensed private investigator in New Jersey in 1979 following his disability retirement from a local police department. He operates R.J. Montgomery Associates in Mahwah, New Jersey. He has served as vice-chair for the International Standing Investigations Council, 1999-Ð01 and the chair of the Northern New Jersey Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security, 2000Ð-01. He is a past assistant national director for the National Association of Legal Investigators. He is a life member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He currently serves on the board of directors of Intelnet, along with his active participation in many other organizations.
Mr. Montgomery specializes in corporate security and criminal defense investigations. He has appeared in many publications on varying investigative subjects. He has given dozens of speeches for national and international associations on a number of subjects ranging from product diversion and intellectual property to workplace violence investigations. He has given interview and polygraph workshops. He teaches a number of subjects such as law and inadequate security. He is an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University where he teaches security management.
Mr. Montgomery has been accepted as an expert in virtually every aspect of criminal defense, corporate security and investigative related matters. He is a certified polygraphist, protection professional, legal investigator, fraud examiner, security trainer, fraud consultant and international inves-tigator. He has appeared on dozens of network television programs as a polygraph and investigative expert, and was featured in the business section of the New York Times.
