Tom Vesper
Short Biography: Tom Vesper, Esq., is a certified civil trial attorney admitted to the bar of New Jersey in 1973. He received his undergraduate education at Villanova University and legal education at Rutgers University where he was a writer and member of the Rutgers-Camden Law Review. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1969–91. He was certified as a UCMJ 27(b) trial counsel and defense counsel by the Secretary of the Navy. The past president of the New Jersey chapter of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Tom is a diplomate and sustaining member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and was selected by his peers to be included as one of “The Best Lawyers in America” and a founding member of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
A senior partner in the Atlantic City law firm of Westmoreland, Vesper and Schwartz, Tom concentrates on personal injury and wrongful death cases. His litigation specialties and experience include products liability, commercial trucking and bus crashes, negligence, professional negligence, and consumer fraud cases. Certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (1980) and New Jersey Supreme Court (1981), Tom is a frequent quest lecturer for ATLA, state trial lawyers associations, bar associations and law schools. A faculty member and past trustee of the National College of Advocacy, he has published articles and lectured on wrongful death, products liability, truck and bus accident reconstructions, discovery, case evaluation, settlement and trial techniques.
