Lawrence Z. Rubenstein
Laurence Z. Rubenstein, M.D., MPH, FACP, is director of the Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center and chief of the division of geriatric medicine at Sepulveda VA Medical Center in California. He is a professor of medicine at UCLA School of Medicine, associate director of the UCLA-VA Multicampus Division of Geriatric Medicine, and a senior research consultant at RAND Corporation. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, he received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, as well as a master’s from the UCLA School of Public Health. He completed internal medicine residencies at UCLA and the Albert Einstein-Bronx Municipal Hospital Center. He was a UCLA-Robert Wood Johnson clinical scholar. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the Gerontological Society of America, the Royal Society of Medicine, and the American Geriatrics Society. He is an active health services researcher and the author of over 280 scientific publications. He serves on editorial boards of ten scientific journals. His most recent publications and research focus on preventive geriatric care, geriatric assessment technology, and prevention and treatment of falls and instability in older people.More About Lawrence Z.
