James D. Rodgers
Short Biography: James D. Rodgers, Ph.D., is a professor of economics and director of graduate studies in the Department of Economics at Penn State University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Virginia in 1970, and he has been on the faculty at Penn State from 1969 to date. Since 1976, he has served as a consultant preparing appraisals of economic damages for attorneys, primarily in cases involving personal injury and wrongful death. From 1994-98, he served as Eastern vice-president of the National Association of Forensic Economics. He has published articles in such general economics journals as the American Economic Review and the Quarterly Journal of Economics, and articles dealing with the appraisal of economic damages in the Journal of Forensic Economics, the Journal of Legal Economics, and the Journal of Labor Research.
