Wayne B. Wheeler
Short Biography: Wayne B. Wheeler, M.D., J.D., M.B.A., holds B.S., J.D., M.B.A., and M.D. degrees from the University of Illinois. He practiced law in Champaign-Urbana for five years before entering medical school. He did one year of postgraduate medical training at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Wheeler is board certified in emergency medicine, legal medicine, quality assurance and utilization review. He has subspecialty certification in risk management and case management from the ABQAURP. He is licensed to practice medicine in Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Florida and law in Illinois and Ohio. Dr. Wheeler is an adjunct faculty member for the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Marshall University College of Nursing, and the Shawnee University Department of Allied Health. He serves on the Ohio State Nursing Board Formulary Committee for the ADN Pilot Program and is a delegate to the Ohio State Medical Society from Scioto, County, Ohio. He lives in Portsmouth, Ohio with his wife Saundra, has three daughters, and is currently studying for his M.P.H. in occupational medicine through the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
