Average Earnings and Consumption Cost Calculator
This two-sided calculator gives you the figures for consumption costs and loss of earnings in cases of disability or death. In cases of death, use it to compute the amount by which lost earnings should be reduced to allow for the personal consumption of the deceased. It also includes future value tables with interest rates from 1% to 14% to calculate the future value of annual payments to the client and/or his or her family. In cases of disability, use it to help determine lost earnings over many years. The calculator computes the average earnings based on age, education level, and gender. Use this number to create an estimate of the client's probable lost earnings. This calculator was redesigned and updated with the most recent data from Population Reports on Consumer Income published by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census. This calculator is an integration of our old Consumption Costs and Average Earnings calculators. Compact and convenient, this handy tool fits easily into a brief case or computer bag.
